Backyard Events
Hosts often hire fire performers for a show on private property. Hiring a fire performer can seem overwhelming if this is your first time hiring a fire performer. This page will explain everything you need to know!
Types of Shows
- Big fire: Explosive! Think of fire breathing, larger props, more energy and acrobatic elements!
- Dancing fire: Alluring with the beauty of dance accented with the excitement of fire! Fire eating is a great add on for this type
- Choreography fire: multiple dancers moving in unison provide a spectacular and rare sight!
- Specific theme: Share with us a theme and we will curate acts to compliment the theme! For example, country themes can have whips and pistol prop types!

For space, we’ll need to know the number of people you expect will attend (Any additional details: for example, ages of attendants). We require a minimum of 15 feet of clear space without hazards, more if we are using larger props or if we have multiple performers. The flooring should be concrete, dirt, or grass. If you have a synthetic surface such as astro turf or a stage, let us know so that we can provide a protective layer on the flooring
The fire performer always has a trained safety person accompany them. The safety person has extinguishers and smothering towels. We are very proud of our safety practices!
What can I expect on the day of the performance?
Our fire performers typically arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled show time. A standard setup takes about 20 minutes and includes preparing our performance area, fuel station, and fire props. For everyone’s safety, the fuel station and equipment are placed at least 15 feet away from guests and outside the audience area.
The length of a fire show is one of the biggest factors in creating an unforgettable experience. When fire performance is the primary attraction (rather than being combined with aerial arts or storytelling), we generally recommend a 10–15 minute fire show. This tends to be the sweet spot for keeping audiences engaged while delivering the greatest visual impact.
If your event calls for a longer performance, we’re happy to customize the show to fit your needs. During a typical performance, our fire performers rotate through three to four different fire props, showcasing the unique visual effects, technical skill, and artistry of each. Sometimes, less really is more when you’re playing with fire!

Special props we have available are number props for milestones and our heart prop!

Another type of fire performance we offer is ambient fire entertainment.
With ambient performances, the fire performers are not the main focus of your guests’ attention. Instead, we perform in the background, adding energy, atmosphere, and visual interest to your event while allowing guests to continue socializing and enjoying the occasion.
Our ambient fire performances are typically booked in one-hour time frames. Unlike our featured fire shows, where props are prepared to allow continuous performances with little to no downtime, ambient performances include short pauses between props while we safely prepare the next piece of equipment. This creates a natural flow that complements your event without interrupting the overall atmosphere.
Legal concerns: In Texas, private parties on private properties may host fire performance. However, if the party is larger and expected attendance is high, we can get a flame effects permit from the local fire department.
