As a co-founder of FemPyre, Jo England has had a hand in developing acts, tech instruction, marketing, and event organizing as well as performing on some of the biggest and best stages in Dallas/Fort Worth. FemPyre was named the People’s Choice for “Best Dance Troupe” in the 2019 Best of Dallas Awards presented by the Dallas Observer.
Jo found her way to fire arts by way of hula hooping. The hoop is her first love, but since she first picked up a hoop in 2013, she has gone on to become a multi-prop artist.
When she learned about fire eating more than two years ago, Jo was hungry to learn a new act. Today, her act is sure to thrill crowds no matter the size.
Of course, no high-impact fire performance is without a few dragons, and Jo England enjoys wowing crowds at large-scale events with fire-breathing, too.
Fire and LED repertoire
Jo enjoys both improvisational and choreographed routines both in groups and solo. Her fire repertoire includes fire eating, fire breathing, single and double hoop, fire fans, double staves, poi, and dragon staff. She also offers several engaging LED hoop acts for any occasion!
From live ambient acts to full-scale, 30-minute fire shows, Jo is proud to produce and participate in several Dallas-area festivals, including Night Lights, the Cosmic Yogi Festival, Celebrate Life, the Dallas Tattoo Expo, and more.
