The only event in Cowtown with an open fire performer pit, drum circle, DJ Scott Stanley, live art, yoga, vendors, and dancing invites creative participation
FemPyre, an all-woman fire performance troupe based out of Dallas/Fort Worth, is hosting their latest Fort Worth Fire Beats at Shipping & Receiving at 7 p.m. September 13, 2018.
The event, which is usually the first Thursday of every month, will be hosted at 201 S. Calhoun Street on the second Thursday of both September and October (Oct. 11). Fort Worth Fire Beats — the only monthly event in Fort Worth where you can enjoy watching fire performers — features guided movement at 7 p.m. indoors, an open drum circle from 8 to 10 p.m., and DJ Scott Stanley from 10 p.m. to midnight, as well as live artists, vendors, drink specials, and much more.
“We were so excited about the great turnout from our last Fort Worth Fire Beats in August,” said Tina Lee Arons (Wildfire Tina), a founding member of FemPyre and a Fort Worth native. Last month’s event featured a full pool, complete with mermaids and Pirates, with games for the kids. This month, FemPyre invites Fire Beats attendees to dress as either a superhero or their alter ego. “We’re happy to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for fire performers to show off their skills, as well as a place for artists of all kinds to create and share.”
Each month will feature a new live artist, a different food truck, as well as an open stage for bellydancers and flow artists. Vendors will have hand-made works for sale, and you can enjoy award-winning tacos and elotes from Funky Town Food Truck.
“We have a pretty special surprise in store for attendees this month,” said founding member Jo England. “FemPyre is excited to unveil a recent collaboration and we know you won’t want to miss it!”
